Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray an 8x8" pan. Combine egg, oil, honey and vanilla. Add flour and mix well. Stir in the nuts and carob chips. Pour mixture into a greased 8 x 8 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until light brown and pulls away from sides of pan. Cool in pan. Cut into squares.
Carob Walnut Squares
-1 egg, beaten.
-1/3 cup oil.
- 1/3 cup honey.
- 1 teaspoon vanilla.
- 3/4 cup whole wheat flour.
- 1/2 cup broken walnuts or pecans.
- 1/2 cup Chatfield's Carob Chips.
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease or spray a 9 inch square pan. With a mixer, cream together butter, sugar and vanilla in bowl. Add eggs, beat well. In a separate bowl stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually add to egg mixture, beating until well blended. Spread evenly into greased pan. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from the sides of pan. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.

-1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter.
-3/4 cup turbinado sugar.
-1 tablespoon vanilla.
-2 eggs.
-1/2 cup cake flour.
-1/3 cup Chatfield's Cocoa Powder.
-1/2 teaspoon baking powder.
-1/4 teaspoon salt.
