Horse hair is an excellent material because it is soft and pliable while still sturdy and durable with a certain elasticity. Used with a good soap it gives a soft full lather for a perfect cleaning. Allow the brush to dry hanging or standing on the horsehair. Brushes that give "hand-made" a new meaning: In the late 19th century a small brush manufacturing company was started in Stockholm, Sweden called Iris Hantverk. It was a successful venture, so successful that it remains today. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen.
