What is jojoba oil? Jojoba oil is a botanical extract of the seed of the jojoba tree (Simmondsia chinenis). Why do we care? Because out of all of the compounds in nature, the jojoba oil is the most similar to human skin oil (sebum). It is theorized that applying jojoba to the skin can "trick" the skin into thinking it is producing enough oil, thus balancing oil production. The bottom line for acne-prone people is that jojoba oil is non-comedogenic so you can use it without fear. Benefits of jojoba oil Provides all day moisturization – jojoba oil doesn't evaporate like water based moisturizers can. Very stable – jojoba oil does not become rancid or lose antioxidants even after long periods of storage. Spreads well and absorbs well. Free of pesticides, GMOs, and is sustainably farmed. Uses of jojoba oil Moisturizer – After dispensing any facial moisturizer onto your palm, try adding 5-6 drops of jojoba oil to make it into a super-moisturizer. Flakiness will subside and the moisturizer will have an improved feel on your skin. Make-up remover – Since jojoba oil is not an eye irritant, nor allergenic, you can use it to remove eye makeup. It also easily removes foundation, blush, and lipstick. Lip balm – Apply a few drops onto your finger and apply to your lips for an extra-light alternative to lip balm. Lots of lip balms tend to contain comedogenic (clogs pores) ingredients, so jojoba oil is a nice alternative. As a side note, if you need major help with dry lips, pure petroleum jelly (Vaseline) or Aquafor (petroleum jelly + mineral oil, ceresin, and lanolin alcohol) are non-comedogenic and work very well.
Facial Cleanser and Moisturizer To cleanse normal to dry skin, apply with a few drops on fingers or cotton ball. Remove with water. Pat a few more drops on to damp skin for a lasting moisture treatment.

Deep Conditioning Treatment for Hair Smooth a quarter-sized amount of oil over damp hair, focusing on ends. Wait 5-10 minutes before shampooing out. To help mend split ends, rub one or two drops onto ends.
Foot and Hand Softener Use alone or add a few drops to your regular moisturizer. For an intense foot treatment, apply oil, wrap in gauze and put on socks. Leave on for at least one hour. Feet will be beautifully soft and smooth.
Shaving Prep and Aftershave Apply to beard or desired area beneath your shaving product. Helps prevent razor burn and leaves skin smooth and soft. Apply directly after shaving to effectively soothe and moisturize skin
