The Leviton OSFHU-ITW fixture mount high bay occupancy sensor uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology to monitor a room for occupancy, turning the lights ON when movement is detected. This efficient energy-saving, automatically-switching device is ideal for large, open spaces illuminated by industrial fluorescent luminaires such as warehouses, manufacturing floors, gyms, and other high-ceilinged commercial and industrial applications.
The OSFHU-ITW installs directly to an industrial fluorescent luminaire or an elec¬trical junction box. It is a self-contained sensor and relay that turns individual light fixtures On or Off based on occupancy in the detection zone. It comes with three interchangeable lenses for use in either a 360° high-bay or 360° low-bay general area or an aisle way. The OSFHU provides reliable coverage up to 40 ft. mounting heights. Offering simple On/Off switching based on occupancy, the OSFHU-ITW is ideal for:

About PIR Technology
The OSFHU-ITW uses passive infrared (PIR) detection technology via a segmented Fresnel lens to monitor a room for occupancy. This specialized lens divides the field of view into sensor zones. When a person passes into or out of a sensor zone, the sensor detects motion and switches the lights on. The lights will remain on as long as there is an occupant in the room. When the space being monitored by the sensor is unoccupied for the preset time you've chosen, the unit will switch the lights on.

- Return to last state: for safety and energy savings, the OSFHU contains a latching relay so that in the event power is lost to the device, the device will return to the last known state of the relay
- False detection intelligence: for increased energy savings and to mitigate nuisance tripping, the super-bright LED indicates advanced detection has been activated and the lights will only turn On when true occupancy has been determined
