Made from barley malt, wheat, milk, and a touch of salt, is the key ingredient in old-fashioned malted milkshakes. Gives that distinctive malt taste to your baked goods. Old-fashioned malted milk powder. Packaged in Reclosable Clear Plastic Jar, factory Sealed for Freshness.
EASY MALTED CHOCOLATE CHIP TOFFEE
Ingredients
- 1 C HHF Carob Drops
- 2 tbsp HHF malted milk powder (if unsure how much you like the malted milk flavor, try 1 tbsp first)
- 1 C butter
- 1 C sugar
- 3 tbsp water
Instructions
Line a (9x13 inch) baking pan with foil. The foil should cover the edges of the pan. Sprinkle half cup of the carob drops on the bottom of the pan. In a medium sauce pan, add malted milk powder, butter, sugar, and water. Bring to boil over medium heat while stirring constantly. Use a candy thermometer on the side of the pan and continue stirring until the temperature reaches 290 degrees F. Mixture will start to thicken and get darker. Remove pan from heat and remove the thermometer. Pour the mixture over the baking pan containing carob drops. Then top the mixture with the remaining carob drops. Cool for about an hour until the chocolate is hardened before breaking it into pieces. Enjoy.
