The head comes with U3/8" thread and includes U1/4" screw adapters that you can attach to most tripod setups. A built-in shoe stopper prevents the camera from falling off the tripod. Slik does not recommend using traditional Arca-type compatible quick release plates or L-brackets. Though the head will allow you to mount the plate it does not create a strong enough connection to allow the lever to lock in place.
