Hard work, innovation, and a love of the great outdoors are all big parts of the Timberland story. They have been since the very beginning.
In 1973 our original waterproof boots called the “Timberland” were invented. They were rugged, well-crafted, and—thanks to an innovative injection molding technique which was new to the footwear industry—they withstood the elements. These premium “yellow” boots set new standards for waterproof performance in the footwear industry. They became equally popular with outdoor enthusiasts who needed protection in all conditions, professional trade workers who needed rugged dependable gear, and many others who just wanted a great looking pair of boots. These boots defined our brand. They were so groundbreaking that in 1978 we renamed the entire company.
Timberland’s heritage of hard work, innovation, and love of nature continues. We are here to inspire and equip the world to step outside, work together and make it better. Today, we find the outdoors everywhere, from right outside our doors to places far beyond. We find it in cities, suburbs, and the countryside. It’s where we work, play and connect to one another. That’s why we are on a mission to make our brand and company a force for positive change.
The Timberland PRO Drivetrain work hiker gives you the modern style you want with the safety features you need for a light industrial work setting. This Drivetrain work shoe has a 6-inch combination upper of full-grain leather and abrasion-resisting mesh in contrasting colors adds visual interest, yet is practical. The mesh reduces weight and promotes air flow. An accent of red on the shoe laces and pop of white makes this work shoe look like a sporty hiker. For safety, a composite toe, developed with CarbonShield technology, meets or exceeds the current ASTM F2413 protective toe standards for impact and compression. This shoe also meets the ASTM standards for resisting electrical hazards. An all-weather, non-marking TPU outsole with cushion EVA midsole is oil, slip and abrasion-resisting with a heat-resisting rating of up to 248 degrees F. These features keep you on your feet and comfortable in a variety of environments. Cement construction is flexible, giving you freedom of movement. A fiberglass shank provides arch support and structure. Anti-fatigue technology is built into the PU footbed to support and cushion your feet. As a result, the outsole returns energy to your feet with every step you take. Inside the Drivetrain an .-treated meshed lining helps control foot odor, maintaining a healthier environment for your feet. Stay comfortable and protected all day.
