Dropdown active state disappears when using the bottom arrow

Chrome for Mac. To repro:
- Click on "Dropdown", notice the gray active state -> All good

Make the mouse cursor leave the "Dropdown" text, notice the gray active state persists -> All good

Use the down arrow to navigate. Notice the gray active state goes away -> Fail.
