By shackling my hair to the sculpture I am both physically and metaphorically attaching myself. It is strategically placed in the most circular part of the form as a reference to circles and their infinity. The part placed in front leads the eye to the highest point of the sculpture which drops down to the chain and hair.

I like the Concept, I still wish the hair was in glass or epoxy rather than a plastic baggy, eoxy would allow you to shackle the hair with complete chain links evoking a more permanent feel to the shacking of self.

The baggy of Hair to me feels more like someone saving a lock of hair from a baby or a childhood romance. Dosnt really have the feel of sacrifice.

Anyways just my thoughts.

I do appreciate it more now that you've explained it. And this is simply my opinion
