I wish I could attach more pictures so you could see more 😸 but nonetheless I hope you at least enjoyed looking at it a little

I do, I like it all.. except the baggy of hair😅, I don't get why it's there, and the ziplock bag with hardware hook and supplemental chain link which seems redundant with the hook, makes that part look Ike an afterthought. It Dosn't add to the piece at all.

I agree with the baggy cheapening and distracting from the piece.
A baggy itself is an object, and the meaning of the object must be considered, especially in such an abstract work since it it one of the few clearly identifiable elements.
A zippered plastic baggy connects with concepts like disposability, cheapness, environmental destruction (especially juxtaposed with the moss), collection, organization, and containment. If these are things you want to come to mind, ok. If these are irrelevant or distracting from your intention, you should change the object that holds the hair.
Some other vessels that could hold it:
An organic resin shape with the hair suspended in it.
A glass orb, vial, dish, etc (consider what meanings those could hold)
A string could tie the hair into a little bundle to dangle from the hook (consider meaning string could hold or that being bundled or tied could mean).

Woa that brings in a whole ephemerality of the attachment of self to the object. where the moss even though it continues to grow and change, the hair not only stays the same as it was when it was cut from the artist eventually fades away, like the memory...
The more I talk about it the more I like the baggy, I just whish it was more stuck into the piece to have some sort of plastic is forever, environmental impact, the artists hair as the unchanging time anchor and the moss adapting and growing
This is the most I've talked about art in a long time... ☺️

The concept of memory is the main discussion the sculpture creates. My hair is used to create a level of weight and depth to juxtapose the changing organic forms. Even though the forms will change the hair will still remain shackled to the work. It represents the sacrifices I have made in order for me to be where I am, leaving my home and everything I know behind to pursue art.

By shackling my hair to the sculpture I am both physically and metaphorically attaching myself. It is strategically placed in the most circular part of the form as a reference to circles and their infinity. The part placed in front leads the eye to the highest point of the sculpture which drops down to the chain and hair.

I like the Concept, I still wish the hair was in glass or epoxy rather than a plastic baggy, eoxy would allow you to shackle the hair with complete chain links evoking a more permanent feel to the shacking of self.
The baggy of Hair to me feels more like someone saving a lock of hair from a baby or a childhood romance. Dosnt really have the feel of sacrifice.
Anyways just my thoughts.
I do appreciate it more now that you've explained it. And this is simply my opinion

Hair needs more nature energy, less plastic

The hair in a baggy on the hook ruins it for me, it feels like first art school project in the juxtaposition module, almost as bad as Band-Aid on a steak.
If you were using human hair you could have been less lazy with it.
Anyone coming to shit on me, art is meant to be criticised/discussed so ets have a discussion.
