Thank you! It's halftone, not dithering, it is not a matter of necessity, but of personal preferences and style : )

You're right, halftone is what I meant to say.

I looked at your other work "Duplicity" and "Disdain" so I did figure it was a style thing. It was just odd that "Doom" doesn't have any flat coloured areas wherever the halftone is used.
