I can say those things and still be catholic I am wearing ashes myself and went to catholic school they told me I was lucky the nuns were not there to beat me with a ruler. I graduated owning detentions. I would never hang this on my wall. Thats how much I don't like it. I have tattoos. I have punk rock friends I read Immanuel Kant. I listen to heavy metal. Anyways doest matter what I say it's really going to be 90 percent same reaction I had so what the person that painted this would have to deal with it I believe that's what they wanted. I'm human I hate alot of things only God is perfect. Even priests have been known to do disgusting things. I'm open-minded, but why does she have a halo 😇 thoigh it's werid and not in a frieda khalo kind of way very ozzy osbourne werid.

Because in my religion there is nothing Gothic and it doesn't seem true. It's beautiful painting but it shocked me and I just believe the picture does not show how forgiving catholics really are. Looks like she about to to the botonica right after lent and cast a evil spell on someone or already did. To each your own. Very disturbing and throws people off. In my opinion; It's open to interpretation anyways I can tell the person that did this painting is not Italian or from Spain. Dead ass. It's wack in that sense.

There are plenty of gothic Catholic Churches. I find them quite beautiful. There is nothing evil about this. She has ash on her forehead as many people did today. The only thing that I can think of is that you don’t like her tattoos. To be honest, it is ironic how you call this wack and you loathe it and then in the same breathe say that it doesn’t show how forgiving Catholics are. This is a photograph, so I am flattered that you call it a painting. Thank you for that.

Isn't like the Victorian's came up with the style of the classic Gothic cathedrals or am I wrong ( also like to add it is a very beautiful picture) love the Gothic style as it reminds of momentum mori .
