Details in the skin folds look insane! Wish I can see a close up. Great work on establishing solid value! Love it!

Also I just realized you did this in graphite and not in charcoal, I'm impressed with the dark heavy pigment you were able to get with graphite, I'm not too good with establishing solid value with graphite, any pointers you can give me?

Thanks. I tried to find the drawing itself, but it seems to be lost. I did that way back 2021 and I remember putting all my drawings in a case. The sad thing is my mother remembers throwing a case, though she's unsure of the contents.

As for the method to get the best blacks, I remember using a 12b from staedtler because their pencils are affordable, but you can't just use it how you would a normal pencil. It's too soft and makes the blacks shiny. I ground it and mix with mineral oil to make something like an oil paint. I dip a q-tip or a blending stump then use it.

Careful using it though, it takes sometime to dry and smudges easily. Finish drawing with the normal pencils first.
