Get a sleeve for it. If you drop them on the floor when they are full, they are gone. I've broken 3 now. Still haven't gotten a sleeve, but that's my fault. But I would not trust these to carry all my water in a survival situation without a sleeve. Saying this as a Nalgene fan.
