My Grandmother’s oven, circa 1966. Many holiday meals were cooked with love here, right up until the day she passed. Aside from one shattered glass door that was replaced, everything still works!

My grandmother had a very similar one! The stovetop slides in to show just two burners, out to show all four.
This is crazy, I had no idea such a design existed! So cool!
I think those were issued to all grandmas by law
When they were young and being a grandmother was unthinkable.
It’s like having a mini Waffle House in your kitchen and I need it.
These were common in NY apartments.
Maybe that explains why I haven't seen one before. I'm from the Canadian prairies.

Sounds dangerous
It seems dangerous until you realize the thing the burners slide into is, in fact, an oven.
You could knock me down with a feather.

My grandparents had one too! With storage down below. So many memories
I forgot about the storage, yes!
Yeah, mine too, this actually made my heart pang lol. I might need to make her apple pie today.
That sounds like a great way to burn the house down.
As far as electrics stoves go, that all sounds kind of fantastic. Is it also like OPs seems to be, where there is normal counter storage beneath?
