I did a cosmetic restoration on this fan about 10 years ago, and it's been used daily since. I replaced the cord, so it wouldn't be a fire hazard. I also cleaned out the oscillator gearbox grease, and cleaned the fans oiler system. It gets yearly grease and oil changes now. The bushings are in such good shape on this that the blade will keep spinning for over a minute when you turn it off. Hopefully this fan will last another 86 years.
