An email would probably work fine, they may not want you to send it to them

Eventually one the spring that locks the pliers into place snapped completely in half. It took a couple months through the email process but Gerber sent me a brand new one. I really do appreciate them doing this. Nalgene and Gerber are now two companies that I can mark down as having excellent warranty service. Thank you again Gerber.

I've bought myself exactly the same new one after my old one died on me. Will try it next time!
