Are Old Waring Blenders Strong?

Looking to buy a glass pitcher blender with multiple blending speeds, that’s made in USA.

Waring looks like the best option. Their only glass model is Waring Commercial 700G Blender, 22000 rpm Speed, Glass Container, 120V which is $326 on Amazon. It only has single speed.

I noticed that the old vintage Waring blenders have multiple speeds and I’ve seen posts speaking highly of those Blenders.

If you own a Waring glass blender, old or new, what’s your experience?

Waring kind of sucks and does not last. I've had 2 immersion blenders that burned out fairly fast. Robot Coupe's the way to blend and worth the extra money.

I have a vintage glass pitcher waring, it has seven speeds. I don't know what the rpms are, but it does everything I need it to.

It was a wedding present for my parents in 1975, which was passed on to me after my mom couldn't stand the Harvest Gold color anymore, but it's been in use over forty years. I bought a second one in Avocado green to use in my cabin.

Most high-speed quality blenders like a Vitamix are not going to have glass pitchers. This is because the RPM/motor is so powerful, if you try to blend something like grains, or something else that is hard, you can crack the pitcher.

i have a waring bar blender, 2 speeds, glass pitcher. i found it on the corner about ten years ago, id say its like 30 years old. i have an extra pitcher i bought at thrift store for a dollar. anyway, its a beast. i love it. its a bit loud, but it does a good job.

Vitamix HQ is in Cleveland, OH. I don’t know where the parts are sourced/made. Their website says their products are engineered and assembled in the USA. But their customer service is US based and has been fantastic in the few times I’ve needed to use it.

They are expensive up front, but should last a long time as long as you take care of it.

The only other high-speed blender that is usually mentioned with Vitamix is Blendtec, but I don’t know as much about that company.
