Looking to buy a battery charger/starter for those times your car won’t start. Cheaper is better (would love anything under $80, if it exists).

Want something that will hold enough charging power over atleast 2 weeks in the trunk. Don’t want to charge it every couple of days.

For a smaller compact-mid size car, both insane. Only need 2-3 starts, don’t need anything with 10 starts

Why don’t you just replace the battery in your car so you don’t have to jump start it???

A cordless power brick, that charges cars and electronic devices. Look up NOCO starter. With one of these you don't need another car to jump-start.

I have one , saved my butt more than once.

I have a noco gb40 which has impressed me with the power it can put out of such a small unit, it will easily start a 3.5 derv engine, even after 6 months on the shelf. These are around 100 usd, but there is the smaller, cheaper gb20 which should meet your budget.

Edit-had it approx 4 years, not exactly a lifetime, put a decent life for a jump starter, and still going strong.

We have a good battery in our car and carry jumper cables, but we still like to have the charger as a back up. We also have tools and patch kits in the car. We like being prepared. Not like prepper-style, but just we are real rural and we've had to help other cars out too, especially out at remote trailheads with no reception.
