I wonder if it could be rechambered/re hammered for 32 acp? That'd be a ballin gun to get running again

There is a small cottage industry of modifying these and old S&W revolvers to shoot 32 center fire so they can be used with the Colt 32 rounds that still get made in collector batches.

But it seems a shame to pay a $500 to ruin an antique just to have a gun that shoots worse than a modern $400 22.

At some point the meme of taking a rifle out shooting that predates radio would outweigh the cost of the work to me. But im a self diagnosed gun nut, of course logically youre right.

.32 rimfire is sometimes made for special competitions, plus you could reload, but it would be a huge pain in the ass.
