Popsockets brand are really strong for this type of item. Given the abuse and wear they take they last well. I’ve tried two others and they don’t hold up. Given you’re trusting an expensive lifeline item to it, worth the extra dollars to get the real one.

Nice. I have a lamicall metal ring holder that I love. It's only been 3 years but I see it lasting quite a while. I have replaced the double sided tape due to moving it onto new devices and cases. I love it. My arthritis didn't like the kind of grip I needed for the pop socket. Also the cover/top of my pop socket kept coming off and I got fed up.

Then there’s me… my 2 and a half year old rips the whole thing in half where it’s irreplaceable

Yeah, I've been using a Popsocket with each iphone for 3 generations now. Someone said something to me once about saving money with the other brands of grip, and I just said look: if I'm buying a $1k+ phone, I'll splurge $10 for the name brand grip that's going to keep me from dropping it.

Wait whatttt? I bought one a few months ago, stupidly right before I bought a new phone, and when I tried to switch it to my new case it had lost 100% of it's stick.

Are you sure? Maybe just once?

The bigger the sub the lower the quality threshold for conversation. Agree 100% with you, this is the opposite of buy it for life and deserves more downvotes and way less apologists who are trying to gaslight you from even the spirit of the sub’s namesake

Speak for yourself. The quality has gone down.

It’s an equally crap product compared its competitors, let alone a decent product. I’ve bought several brand name pop grips since 2021 and they’re all equally shit. The swappable cover pops off easily, the other swappable cover with the left press and click snapped inside (I couldn’t swap covers), the premium finishes get worn out quickly, and the telescoping plastic has torn off on two. I keep giving it chances because of the brand presence but it’s an awful product

They are Beasts. I love mine as well. They changed the base which bummed me out as my wife had one made for, and I can't use it anymore. Still keeping it though.

Popsockets sound like a total scam to me.
If I wanted more grip on my phone, I‘d just use a sturdy case with a wrist strap. They worked on cameras before. Or one with an integrated ring or a finger loop.
