What is the most durable Xbox controller out there?

The main game I play with my controllers in Rocket League. I noticed the new Xbox series x controllers had the bumpers break off very often. It would typically be about $8 for me to manually replace the bumpers with new ones. I want a Xbox controller that will last a very long time without the bumpers breaking. I have an old Xbox one controller and the bumpers have never broken for me, but the pads of the analog sticks have worn off so it's uncomfortable to hold. I've been looking at the Xbox Series 2 Elite Controller. Would this controller do me good?

You can buy new pads for the analog sticks.

Original controllers have the best quality control/quality. Anything else will break even faster

I have the series 1 elite controller and it has held up well. I have had to replace the joysticks and one of the grips but they I’ve had it for like 6 years…

Recently I've been asking myself the same question. Idk what's best but I can tell you my personal experiences.

Original Xbox controllers last about 2 years and power A controllers will always fail within the year.

Funny when you think my Sega Genesis controller probably has more mileage than all of my Xbox controllers combined and has yet to encounter a single fault.

I'm not sure any controllers are BIFL. I make out better buying a Gamestop warranty for $15 every time I want a new controller, about every 6-12 months.

The series 2 elite controller has a significantly better build quality than the standard controller, although I've never had bumper issues with any other controllers, so I can't speak to that specifically. If you have the money, I recommend the elite controller.
