There is very little market for used books. There is one store in Columbia you can try: https://secondeditionbooks.com/trade-and-sell/.
If textbooks are the latest edition then sometimes a college bookstore will buy them. If not then they are worthless, no one will pay for them.
If you're patient then listing them on ebay or as a third-party Amazon seller will probably get you slightly more money but thats only if it sells at all and you'll have to deal with the seller account stuff and shipping.
All this is why most people just donate books and take the tax writeoff. See the 'books' section at https://www.howardcountymd.gov/knowbeforeyouthrow.

If you’re in a position where you need to sell text books rather than just donating them, you’re not itemizing your taxes. You’re just going to take the standard deduction.

Broad-brush thats likely true, but there can be exceptions. For example, if one has enough medical expenses that it makes sense to itemize, one might also be trying to get money any way they can, including by selling their old textbooks.
