Real ID can’t be processed in house and since that’s becoming the federal standard, for good reason, everyone has to have their ID/License mailed to them now. We are new to CT from CO and it was the same there.

I don't know what the difference is other than the gold star, and I had Real ID before, so it shouldn't need to be reprocessed, it's not like anything changed.
