My shower has leaked into the apartment below mine. I’m able to access under the shower and see the leaking around the entire shower, all 4 sides. I can’t afford to rip out the entire shower and redo it. So my idea to silicone caulk the hell out of all cracks around the base of the shower and corners.
Edit: more context - it’s a walk in waterfall shower, 3 all-tile walls and 1 glass wall/entrance. I bought the property this year and they did a really crappy job installing the shower. It looks like they did the wall tiling first and then installed the shower pan, whereas my understanding is you want to do the reverse so that any tile grout leaks drain into the shower pan.
I’m in the UK
Edit2: Also if this works how often should I recaulk? To be on the safe side I was thinking like once per year?
Edit3: Ok I’m definitely not using tape you all convinced me
