I was there when Elvis Presley died and obviously our group had no clue. It was so odd coming back into the world after this monumental thing had happened.

Wild returning to that news. Similar experience driving back from a week truly off the grid in Northern Ontario-learned Anthony Bourdain was gone.

This reminded me of the road that straddles the Pigeon River that separates Ontario and Minnesota. So peaceful, quiet, clean and engaging.

I worked at a summer camp notorious for prancing the groups returning from long trips to the BWCAW. You can imagine how difficult it was for them to believe that Michael Jackson had actually died while they were gone.
