I’m less than 5 miles from there but have never been. It looks pretty. Is there a lot to see there?

At first glance it looked like a painting, I need more coffee!

Works surprisingly well in dappled light. Great composition, too!

Thanks! I had spent the morning shooting the beach nearby that is one of few beaches in Florida that has rocks along the coastline that make for nice foreground subjects. By the time I got to this tree it was mid morning and there’s not much else to shoot in this kind of light but I agree the end result is not too bad.

At first I thought this was one of those “what taking mushrooms feels like” posts, seriously cool tree!

Visited this park last March. It was gorgeous! I am from North Idaho so it was fascinating seeing the different landscape.

Live oaks grow very slowly. I recall the beautiful live oaks at my grandmother's property in the 1970's. They survived several hurricanes and tropical storms since then. I recently saw them at the now empty property. They dont look like they have grown an inch.

Gorgeous state park! One of the paths there passes through the woods to a view of the Matanzas River where if you’re lucky, you can spot a manatee, dolphin or whale swim by. There’s beach access just across the street as well! Make a day trip of it and visit Ponce de Leon lighthouse about an hour south as well!
