The biggest hurdle for adapting to electric alternatives is its energy density. Lithium ion is the most expensive and best battery tech we have right now in practical use. Even though we have improved it's density 5 fold in the last 10 years its still far behind the energy density of gasoline. Also the lithium ion battery tech is almost peaking. We can't juice out much from it. But with the lithium-air, its capable of hitting upto 1300 Wh/kg which is comparable to gasoline's energy density. How is lithium air gonna make our life better apart from increasing the range of evs.

Will it be cheaper to make?

Can we finally have an electric passenger flight?

What are some innovations that lithium-air can bring to us?

How long it's gonna take us to bring it to commercial use?
