Hmmm... although perhaps the elephant understands that the rope is just a representation of the bigger power holding it prisoner. It's all very well placing the onus on an individual's choice of self belief but that in itself creates a sense of inadequacy when the reality is that we are subjected to constant targeted manipulation by a monstrous mechanism which negates it.

Perhaps the poor elephant understands that grim compliance is a better alternative to the punishment, added suffering and death it could be subjected to if it attempted to break free

Elephants are not created to tied to a rope, it's created to explore, rejoice and as a guardian of mother earth, because they can sense them with thier feet just using earth's vibrations 🙃✨
