Is anyone going to talk about how this is telling us that our friends are akin to someone trying to beat you to the curb? And grandma? ”Society”? Everyone’s out to get you, trust no one but yourself?

I thought the same thing. If you look at it this way... You will see people standing in your way all the time... But if you look carefully there are even more people supporting your dreams and goals.

Yeah, I like the positive mindset begets positive outcomes, but I wouldn't rule out "friends" and "family" being obstacles as well. If there's ego and insecurity or let alone envy/ pride gate-keeping, these things are bound to happen to an extent. It's sucks that this is one narrative, but still grounded in the reality of certain folk. Fucking Cinderella's stepmom and step sisters.

Don’t get me wrong; I don’t mean it in the sense that “it’s weird not to have a partner”.

But in this graphic, they’ve included so many things… its odd in the sense that “it’s an oversight that it’s missing”, they forgot or choose not to have partner.
