Penny the Bearded Lady at the circus fell in love with Billy the Strongman. She would flirt with him, and he would flirt back but he never asked her out on a date. Penny thought that maybe if she made the ultimate sacrifice and got rid of her beard, he would finally ask her out. So Penny went to the barber and had her magnificent beard removed. Sadly, Billy the Strongman stopped flirting with her, and completely ignored her. Which brings us to our lesson for today: A Penny shaved is a Penny spurned.
