Simple rule of thumb if a prank is good or appropriate... No prank should ever be harmful in any way. Inconvenient, maybe, but it's a thin line. If whatever you do or say causes someone anxiety or fear that they're losing something important to them, that's not a prank, just abusive behavior dressed up as comedy.
