As a kid who experienced this, yes, this is fun. Works better when there are discrete pieces rather than individual components that require assembly. Each package should be exciting to open.

I mean, you can, but both of you are going to lose interest after wrapping/unwrapping the first 160.

You could still separate them, but wrap it up in either an empty toilet paper rolls or empty paper towel rolls and wrap those up. Makes it fun and they usually play with it right after.
