They have adhesive on the backside (where they would normally stick to panties). The adhesive side would go on the inside of your shirt so instead of making contact with your shirt, your pit makes contact with the liner.

Or you’d be supplying the other people with the tip 🤷🏼‍♀️ I suppose it was different for me at the time because I was doing it with all my sorority sisters. In a vacuum it might feel awkward at that age to do something a bit weird - now I just embrace the practicality
