This is very risky. You could easily lose both. Six sets of keys, six chargers, six phones and $6,000 is the acceptable baseline state of tactical preparedness.

I carry a spare smartphone when I’m in a foreign country and a spare charging cable for my main phone.

LPT: If you're traveling for the holidays, be sure to pack an extra set of car keys and a phone charger in your carry-on luggage. This will give you a backup in case you lose your primary keys or your phone dies while you're travelling!
