I'm not an expert but I believe funeral directors get burial permits from City Hall, so the City should have a record of that along with the death certificate. You should start with the Lowell City Clerk's office and they could point you in the right direction. Wishing you the best of luck.

There's an app that shows where the buses are in real time. For a backup, there are a lot of Uber drivers in Lowell.

Some locations in Lowell are very walkable and if you live in those locations, you don't need a car to survive. Besides sidewalks, there is a network of canal and river walkways in Downtown area that are practical for getting between points A and B. A car is a nice luxury for going to the beach and places like Great Brook Farm. There's ZipCar at Kennedy Center and a few other locations in Lowell. Put your street address in https://www.walkscore.com/ and see where your essentials are located. Try Commuter Rail for exploring Boston.

There are some dangerous intersections for pedestrians, but one learns to take a walking route that avoids the more dangerous intersections. 70% of drivers yield to pedestrians in crosswalks. 10% of drivers are dangerously distracted, so one must be careful. Don't wear headphones when you're walking around Lowell. Biking in Lowell IMHO is not practical and not very safe, though there are a lot of dedicated bikeways/trails for recreation in this part of the state.

LLK was asked to join the encampment sweep by DPW, and four of us including me went. Without getting into the finer details, LLK will not be participating or supporting any encampment sweeps in the future, and I personally have learned a lot in the last two months. We will continue to clean up at active and abandoned campsites, without throwing away any belongings, as we have many times in the past.

I'm a huge fan of Peephuptmei as well. Some people don't like that the family and kids hang out there but the place is very big and honestly I like that vibe.

They have a dish called Ah-Mok which is soooo delicious. There are greens underneath so you don't actually have to order a lot of veggies on the side if you're debating getting another dish to go with it. Unless you want more than just greens. BTW you can actually park in the mini parking lot across from the liquor store across the street. Pretty sure at least. We never get towed and I think that parking lot was meant to be for all of three or four businesses that are in that little intersection. But there's also parking along the side that people don't realize, but it's tricky to back out of.
