Last year we bought panels and have a contract with CMP to put energy into their grid in exchange for solar credits. Does anyone have any resources on what happens if PTP takes over after this next election? Would the contracts change in anyway?

If this were to pass and CMP was bought out the contracts would likely have to be completed to term. Whether or not Pine Tree Power would be interested in continuing the program is another question.

This. Generally you end up capturing contracts during acquisition.

It depends on the specific language of the contract you signed.

They will honor the contracts. The referendum says……

Existing obligations. All existing agreements, obligations and contracts, including but not limited to long-term contract obligations and net energy billing agreements of an investor- owned transmission and distribution utility, must be transferred to the company and any counterparty to an agreement, obligation or contract shall accept the assignment of the investor-owned transmission and distribution utility to the company.

It would not make a bit of difference. The solar arrangement is dictated by Maine Public Utilities Commission rules that apply to any utility. The MPUC, not the utility, sets the rules.

Anyone who claims PTP would automatically be cheaper, more reliable, or more amenable to renewable power lacks even a basic understanding of how the system actually works.
