My metal storage shed blew over into the woods like a tin can. Whatever I can salvage from it is going to be my new ice fishing shack.

We went upscale this year and covered our blue tarp on the trailer with a tan colored one. Fuckin fancy bub.

Sorry. The trash can with the bagged up bottles was blown over. Those bags of bottles blew away like tumbleweeds.

Nah you don't. Just be like this legend in Canton who just puts up a few pieces every 5 years or so (go back to the 2012 and 2007 street views for a real trip:

I made a makeshift shed wrapped in a tarp for winter. That shit flapped like a bird but it stayed put.

Of course it's a Baptist church!

That's one of the more "Mainer" things I've read in a long time. I'm adding "bub" at the end of each sentence in my mind and "ayuh" to start, though. Feels more at home that way.

Your mistake is thinking they’re going to stop.

Just going to throw this here:
If you have an old house with barn board sheathing you might want to consider using tarpaper over typar. I read an article about it recently in Fine Homebuilding, it boils down to vapor permeability. You basically don’t want to trap moisture in the sheathing. If it’s plywood you need to use typar
HIncand3nza t1_iym63m6 wrote
I see too much siding here. Needs to be all typar for the next 10 years
LordG20 t1_iym8hi4 wrote
The permeability of #15 felt is 6 dry 10 wet I read some where. Builders don't use it because it tears to easy not because of it's performance.

You dont live near Calvary Cemetery in SoPo do you? Yesterday I was there and spotted the roof of a shed poking up out of the water like a sunk ship.

haha That's more like it bub! In my low 20's, landscaping with my friends, we started laying on the Mainer accent hard. We thought it was funny, especially after a quick chat with Famah John where we dumped all of our shit. 13 years later I'm still doing the same work, self employed now, but I'm now stuck with the Mainer talk and it's ridiculous if I don't focus.

I don't think most of us have the money to buy Fine Homebuilding but good tip next time we're redoing the house bub.
