Shop around. I got at huge rate decrease by switching to Progressive last fall, but I also heard from a friend that their Progressive rate went way up. I fully expect a big rate jump on my next renewal, so I'm going to preprare to shop around again.

I got a quote online from progressive for a 6 month policy that is a fraction of what I’m paying now Apple to apples. I guess playing the switcharoo game is the way to go…

I just switched from Geico to Progressive, my first six month policy mentions a "new policyholder discount" so, yeah, switcharoo.
