But then they don't get the community discussion about it. At least that was what I was told these people that ask super easy to find information want.
I, for one, only ask something out of desperation. After I've looked on my own and found nothing helpful. (Which is almost never because of Google/search engines, or just ya know calling the business or person directly that has the information I need scary)

Mostly this for me too, usually I’ll try hitting the google before I come to Reddit, but also sometime what I’m looking for is answers, obviously, but also looking just to interact with the community as whole, not just in r/Maine but also every sub, thought that was the entire point of Reddit was interacting in all these communities 🤷♂️

Just amend "site:reddit.com" to your Google search query, whatever you're looking for has almost certainly already been discussed.
This is my go-to whenever I want to know what 300 idiots think about the topic I'm researching. 😜
