Thank you! I've been hunting this deskmat for a while and it matched so well with the keycaps.

I have super OCD, so I would have to have the profile matching the keys in the rest of the row lol.

Thanks! I was worried I might get murdered immediately for my cable not matching my red keys or something lol.
They're really nice actually, I don't have a ton to compare them to, this is my first keyboard outside of the razer blackwidows and stuff, but they feel super smooth and comfortable, like I actually feel like the keycaps are more than just plastic little bits covering the 'real thing' in this instance, it's great lol, they actually add a lot to the typing/comfort experience while giving that nice IBM aesthetic which I love.

Sonnet sounds great! Did you end up going with top mount or stack mount if you don't mind me asking? Currently using the top mount config and was curious if the stack mount was worth trying out!

Great looking build. How do you like the MT3? They are one of my favorite profile

I’m the whole EU for sure. It’s “Paso obligatorio” (R-401) in Spain.

I have the same opinion as yours. Textured ABS (like GMK) feels softer to me than textured PBT (which feels almost “gritty” to me, like sandpaper). Keycap texture is actually more important to me than keycap profile and I like smooth textures like you. For that reason, my favorite keycaps are actually ABS SA keycaps.

I don't really care about one material over the other.
I care about initial quality, and durability.
That said, I see shine as a badge of honor, rather than a defect.
It shows you actually USE the keyboard in question.
That is provided the keycaps are double-shot, to keep them from losing their legends, like cheap painted-on keycaps do.

Also I think my pg up/dn keys are wrong, there were multiple keycaps in the set, but I kinda like the cascade it goes, like a scroll wheel lol.
I'll probably check and fix that if so tonight.

I think you’re a little misguided. Texture has almost no dependence on plastic material, as far as keycaps go. It’s purely the molds used when the keycaps were made. The roughest keycaps I’ve ever used were abs. The smoothest I’ve ever used were pbt. DSS and CannonCaps respectively. In the photo, you can see my CannonCaps is so soft and smooth that my nail rubbing against it during typing has scratched it up pretty bad. In addition, which texture is more comfortable is also purely preference, so there’s really no objective better or worse. Like everything in this hobby, the best is whatever you like the most.

Have you had time to wear them out yet? I wonder if there’s a difference in texture after a while, or if the different plastic composition would make one more resilient to becoming really smooth
