My 11 month old baby girl was introduced to xylophone, harmonica and guitar when she was about 5 months old. She tries to play xylophone by tapping on the instrument randomly and I see that see likes it.

Harmonica, she doesn't know to blow yet, so she just keeps it in her mouth and then gives it to me to play.

Guitar, she fingers a few strings and she likes it too but gets distracted by tuning thingy. To keep her interested I keep playing a few strings and then let her touch it.

Flute, it's too difficult for me to blow on it so I rarely use this and baby also plays with it as a stick.

Drum like a tabla, we ca it dumru, which has two sides to play. I play this rarely because it difficult to clean.

So question: How do it keep her interested and teach her to play any instrument.

Big note: I can't play any instruments so I want to learn guitar and harmonica. Since harmonica is small it would be easy to carry.

I don't think your baby fully understands what's going on, is reacting to stimuli, and is having fun. I think you're jumping the gun on trying to teach her instruments already. She's doesn't even know how to talk.

Based on the final note, it seems like YOU are the one who's interested in playing an instrument and your baby as an excuse to learn. You should give it a shot if you can!

She's 11 months maybe she doesn't want to learn.

She gets excited when she gets to play with the xylophone, guitar and harmonica. She is too small for me to know if she doesn't want to learn So the idea is to keep her excited with those instruments.

Your 11 month old loves to interact with things that are bright and colorful, and if she can make noise with it all the better.

She's not going to "learn" them in the sense of playing anything for several years yet.

The best way to ensure she has no interest is to try and force her to learn. Make them available, let her bang around, but that's really all you should be doing at this point.

I think your baby's just interested because it's new and makes noises. Wait a little bit longer till they can develop interests they'll actually keep.

I personally think you should get lessons for the baby.
