Artists/bands with big discographies

Hi I'm looking to discover artists/bands with big discographies. I like going through big discographies but don't know many. Some I do know are Lil B and Viper so you don't have to comment those. Genre/popularity doesn't matter. Also with "big" I'm talking like atleast 150 songs but preferably several hundred. Thanks in advance.

Edit: Forgot an important piece of information; I use Spotify so they have to be on there.

The Beach Boys. From clean cut teenage boys in the 1960s singing about surfing, girls and cars to their use of psychedelics in the late 60s/70s creating one of the most influential albums ever recorded/produced (Pet Sounds) which changed modern recording techniques and practices. Their sound really changed when Brian began experimenting with psychedelic drugs.

Add in a fucked up family life for the Wilsons, with Charles Manson involved with Dennis Wilson, and you get a pretty epic story to go with the music.

Amazingly talented family (the Wilson brothers) cousin Mike Love, and Al Jardine/David Marks/Bruce Johnston.

Their music evolves quite drastically over time.

If you count the material with his brothers Michael Jackson has a huge catalogue. You also have Prince, Frank Zappa, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye, among others.

Prince - 40 albums, and another 15-20 for other artists that he wrote and produced alone. Throw in B-Sides and all the posthumous albums and bootlegged songs, you could probably find close to 1000 songs. If not more.

The Grateful Dead is imo the most fulfilling band to do a deep dive into, but with thousands of live shows, hundreds of albums (I'm including officially released live archival recordings), plus dozens of side projects, you may get hooked for life.

There can't possibly be any artist that has a more extensive discography. He's made more than 300 albums and been on 50+ albums with other artists/groups. I don't think OP needs to look into any more artists for a couple of months.

Moby’s released an absolutely insane amount of music over the years. If you’ve seen the Jason Bourne movies there’s a song called “Extreme Ways” that plays at the end of each one which is probably his most well known song.

Holy fudge! Over 300 albums! What a beast! I think only have 1 of them too, lol. I heard of him from watching him play with Primus.

Edit: he’s the first person I’ve ever seen have an off button on his guitar.

I can't believe more people aren't bringing up The Rolling Stones. They have an absolutely enormous catalogue. From the mid-60s to mid-80s they were churning out album after album.

If you count electronic music and remixes of other people's stuff Paul Oakenfold also has a very massive library.

Coheed and Cambria have 10 albums all (except one) as part of a single concept and they're pretty close to 150, but I'm not sure if they're quite there. They also have a handful of non-album singles.

That's the thing about KGLW, they are all over the place in style. That being said, their signature sound is I'm In Your Mind Fuzz and Nonagon Infinity. Check out these songs for sure though (listed by release date):

I have never heard of Viper before, but it looks like you might be correct? Googling him tells me he's either released ~250 (Wikipedia) or "well over 1500+" albums. That sounds like a confusing large difference.

It’s pretty hard to track because even on my phone on his Spotify page, when i scroll through his albums they only go from 2015-2022 even though he’s got albums on there from 2000s and he started releasing music in the late 90s, not sure if that’s on Spotify. I wonder if there’s a limit on how many albums Spotify shows. A while ago I saw a bunch of albums on his page that had 100 songs on them each and were basically a bunch of albums combined, which may also be why the numbers are getting confused.

If you want to know more about Viper there’s some entertaining YouTube videos on him, they’re funny but it’s kinda sad. He’s basically just a crack addict that churned out huge amounts of music and while it’s basically all garbage, he somehow managed to be the first to do a subgenre of hiphop about 10 years before anyone else. He’s became an underground culture legend because of his massive discography and entertainingly bad album names and cover arts.
