Local Dallas area bands are important to me.

Ten Hands was my favorite band when I lived in Denton, Texas in the late 1980s. I went to almost every local show they played in Denton and Dallas all throughout that time (roughly the 1990s) til they disbanded. I have caught a few of their reunion shows, too.

Jackopierce was another of my local favorites in Dallas. I spent a lot of weekend nights in Deep Ellum hearing them play at Trees.

Now, I follow a small local Oak Cliff / Dallas band called The Last City. I met them when I hired them to make some videos for one of my freelance clients and learned that they also have a band. I can’t wait til they start playing around town again.
