Did he just show up at the White House and ask to see the president. I read that somewhere, also that Nixon made him an "Honorary" member of the FBI. Are there any White House tapes of the event, I'd love to know what they said after he left.

I think most would agree…starting to show the effects of the meds. His Vegas shows from that era are fantastic to watch, though.
