Did you receive severance or not? It sounds like you did, if so UE picks up after severance ends IIRC. If you received no severance contact your State Representatives office and they should be able to help expedite.

I did. But I entered no when I filed the application since I assumed I don't get severance. Tried calling them, but it always got disconnected.

That is likely the issue then. Calling them is a waste of time, find out who your State Rep is and call their office they can actually help. I know several people who have gotten helped that way.

The link you posted is a bad link but your state rep will help you because unemployment is administered by the state and they are elected to represent you.
