Lots of medical offices are looking for assistants, technicians, and front desk staff for positions that can be trained on the job (ie, not requiring a degree or certification in the field).

I'm in the optometry field and as a whole across the country, we're hurting for technician staff! Sales experience is always a plus for hiring managers in any people-facing industry, as you already have people skills (which can't necessarily be trained) whereas skills related directly to doing the job can! Just some food for thought.

You don't need a degree to code, hundreds of free resources online to teach yourself how to code. If you need structure, you code look at code academy and similar companies. Those aren't free but take less time than a 4 year degree and cheaper. Pay and worklife balance is great once you get in. The other route is to do 2 years free at CCRI and transfer after to get a degree. But honestly, you don't need a degree for coding

I worked administration in a cardiology office and I can confirm, it’s an awesome job. Decent pay and benefits, good people to work with, and aside from the once in a blue moon difficult patient, everyone is pleasant.

The Fidelity gig is for a call center type role FYI. People tend to move out of the spot after a year or so to other positions or quit. But you need to pass series 7 exam (they pay you to study) but if you fail it, you get let go.

I did 15 years in sales.

For me, sales was a soul sucking, tedious, thankless grind.

I took a 12 week CNA course through CCRI and my life has changed for the better significantly! I went from making $84k/yr to $47k/yr but I’m pursuing an RN and will be back where I started financially in a few years.

Nursing isn’t for everyone, but I get to help people, and I have GREAT job security. Interviews are basically a formality as hospitals are DYING for CNAs and RNs.

Best of luck in your new endeavor, sales is the birds! (Ok, ok, it’s just not a fit for ME, whatever :-)

Take your pick!

https://www.gdeb.com/careers/

Min is 20 an hour with 3 raises a year for hourly. .75 cent every 6 months and 3% cost of living January 1. 6% 401k match and medical.

If you go fir a salary position it's a bit different but generally starts higher. Stay away from paint and shielding. Bad for your health.

Planning and rep jobs are salary which are in high demand... welders and fitters are as well.

Just be sure to select on the application that you are available for 1st...2nd...and 3rd shift. That should get you an interview.

We hire everything from college grads to felons. Honestly the felons work out well and become bosses.

If ya have any quest just ask.

Just beagle to pass the drug test at the hiring date.

Tldr: if you see something you like but feel like you don't have the qualifications. Apply anyway, qp is 50% under man. They need people badly

What are your personal interests and passions? How do they intersect with your skills and abilities?

Now, how can you leverage all that to do something that you love, or at least don't hate?

The questions are mine; the answers are yours. :)

Not sure of your status and background, but if your not afraid of manual labor I hear electric boat is hiring on the radio. Can say every job will get on your nerves in some way shape or form, but if you're willing to put in the work they're training people up and I can say I don't think I've worked in a better place with as much possibility to both move up or stay at a normal trade level and still live quite comfortably. Admittedly it's not the best paying to start in the world of working with steel but it's rather safe in comparison, they supply a lot more equipment than just about anywhere around in the field, and the benefits at damn near unmatched compared to just about any job I've ever heard of in the state. At least compared to any job that would also supply training.

idk why folks are downvoting you but you can absolutely learn to code on your own using free resources that employers will actually view as valid certifications and provided you're able to pass their tests, you'll be on reasonable footing with other candidates.

udemy stuff can be fantasitc, for example, and will build you real skills.

the thing I think people don't realize about these software jobs is they are far better able to test competency before hiring you than other fields, and so they don't rely as much on you having a bunch of degrees and certifications in your field.

They have welders riggers painters electricians probs another 5 jobs I’m forgetting. I went through the interview process just to learn I’d be working 2nd shift and not getting hours toward my license. They pay great I was offered like 22 iirc no expirence but if you want a license I’d say go another route.
