Looking to make some traditional carbonara next Sunday - not sure where I could score some guanciale? Thinking maybe Dave’s or Shores but I am not sure if that is a little bit too obscure of an item. Other than that I’m stumped, maybe one of the spots on Federal Hill?
Armando’s and Hawe’s in Providence usually have. Whole Foods occasionally has but they’re not consistent. Dave’s in Johnston usually has some too.

Italian Corner in EP has it.
Blackbird Farm in Smithfield sells it. They have pork and beef products from their own heritage stock.
And grab a sandwich while you are in there. I recommend the Bresaola

Yes I’ve purchased one from a store on the corner in Federal Hill. I never got around to eating it and it seemingly disappeared. Think the wife tossed it.
My last girlfriend cooked me carbonara with fresh made linguine on our first date. We’ve been married close to 4 years now.

Bigger stop and shops used to have Boar's Head Guanciale. Fewer and farther between since covid. Gonna confirm what others are saying, that Italian Corner in EP or Venda will absolutely have it.

Italian Corner. And I second grabbing a sandwich. Get the Combination or Caprese, add prosciutto to whatever you order.
Venda will have it, but so will Tony's Colonial (and they have off street parking on Atwells).
Chef-a-roni in EG has it. Random hidden gem, I’ve passed it a ton of times but never went in until the other day because Natale’s was closed. Lots of obscure European foods there, not just Italian.
