Think they went with the worst choice so people would opt to pay extra for one of the nice ones.

The Rocky Point plate looks terrific! The Gaspee Days Committee is taking preorders for a very nice looking plate as well. They’re still short of the 600 needed to get a production run started but are going to make a push in the spring to reach that goal. I’m hopeful that they make it, because my wave plate is on its last legs and I don’t want to get stuck with the saw blade.

Yep. I even had hoped there’s make them a dark blue background with light lettering like the URI sign and Welcome to RI signs. Noooooope.

I think I’m just going to keep my existing wave plate forever. In due time it will be unique on the road, kinda like seeing a green and white Massachusetts plate now.

Wait until it's "dirty" after a year and you get to buy new ones.

If you want evidence of voter fraud, look at our new license plate. You know darn well nobody voted for the saw blade.

The designer Willem Van Lancker had some democratic political ties. Connections are how you get things done in RI.
