Kids in the 1950s thought trains were old news and looked forward to flying cars, kids in the 2020s think cars are old news and look forward to having trains.

Priorities change; three quarters of a century ago the name of the game was freedom, go anywhere, do anything, no restrictions, just fly away. The name of the game today, increasingly, is environmental responsibility, equity, and accessibility.

No judgements, flying cars are certainly a fun and interesting idea! But I think I'll take the trains.
